Night Mode – 2/24/22

Over the past year or so, I’ve been increasingly switching everything to night mode. Facebook got flipped last week. Today I learned night mode on Microsoft word so that I can keep working on my homework. So close, yet so visually fuzzy. One of the many reasons for my blog is to document my health issues. Since my eyes and head are the most concerning, Today’s focus was creating a timeline and journal to track my eye health. The ones they keep telling me are so healthy 😊 Night modes have been my saving grace. This is also why I picked the darker background and white lettering for my blog. It’s so much easier on my eyes! Time line below:

My Eye Leftovers:

  • End of May 2020
    • Severe eye infections 2wks – Sensitive to light
    • Red, swollen, puss, crusting over, blurry vision
    • Pain 95%, Sensitivity to light 70%
  • Dec. 2020
    • Eyes continued to be red, irriated, and crusty, sensitive to light
    • realized vision blurry and struggling to do grad work
    • Pain 10%, Sensitivity to light 20%
  • March 2021
    • Saw eye doc, said I needed glasses all the time
    • Eye exam shows healthy eyes
    • Reasoning for decrease in vision “almost 40”
  • April 2021
    • First pair of glasses, for far sight
    • Eyes continued to be red, irriated, and crusty, sensitive to light
    • Pain 10%, Sensitivity to light 20%
  • Aug,   2021
    • Still struggled seeing homework, far sight starting to get blurry
    • Tried dry eyes treatment
    • Saw new eye doc, said I needed bifocals, near and far
    • Eyes continued to be red, irriated, and crusty, sensitive to light. Pain 10%, Sensitivity to light 20%
  • Dec. 2021 
    • Realized both near and far were beginning to be blurry again, commented to my dad I was struggling to see signs far when driving.
    • Eyes continued to be red, irriated, and crusty, sensitive to light
    • Pain 10%, Sensitivity to light 20%
  • Jan. 2022
    • Got Omicron, vaxxed and boosted, mildy sick, eyes got more irritated and painful was the worst symptom
    • Eyes continued to be red, irriated, and crusty, sensitive to light
    • Pain 50%, Sensitivity to light 30%
  • Jan. 15th, 2022
    • Saw same eye doc, says eyes healthy, needed stronger bifocals
    • Eyes continued to be red, irriated, and crusty, sensitive to light
    • Pain 20%, Sensitivity to light 30%
    • Right eye would not focus during exam
  • Feb. 7th, 2022
    • Ophthalmalogy visit, did same eye exams, eyes look healthy
    • Has seen covid cause dry eye, suggested dry eye care w/ artifical tears
    • Eyes continued to be red, irriated, and crusty, sensitive to light
    • Pain 30%, Sensitivity to light 30%
  • Feb. 10th/11th, 2022
    • Saw a red flash over right eye, sharp pain in right eye, radiating a headache ride side, messaged op, referred to cornea specialist
    • Eyes continued to be red, irriated, and crusty, sensitive to light
    • Pain 40%, Sensitivity to light 35%
  • Feb. 20th, 2022
    • ER visit after pain intensified in right eye and head, diagnosed with mild sinisitis after MRI
    • Eyes continued to be red, irriated, and crusty, sensitive to light, right eye only focuses sometimes
    • Pain 80%, Sensitivity to light 45% (watching TV hurts)
  • Feb. 23,  2022
    • First thing in morning, light sent blinding pain through both eyes and head. Dim lighting in massage room hurt, laid in bed from 11:30am to sunset, unable to function, unable to sleep, and in pain
    • Eyes very painful, red, crusty, struggling to focus
    • Pain 100%, Sensitivity to light 100%
  • Feb. 24, 2022
    • Eyes are painful, a bit more crusty, still sensitive to light, unable to function for about 5 hrs. today.
    • Wore sunglasses in the house during day, and only using electronics on night mode, and dimmed screens. No TVs.
    • Pain 75%, Sensitivity to light 80%

It’s been another rough long day, and I keep smudging my glasses.
